Advocating best practices in privacy protection.
- Blakes access project (hacking issue - analyzed the normal practices in litigation, worked with IT to close gaps on any privacy concerns eg. sign-out system for laptops including cases on each, system to password protect and remove cases when they are returned - same with USB keys and hard drives - also implemented and educated about pw system for Summation database, moved many of our large, sensitive cases to network external drive with limited access to avoid data loss) - also set up external drive that’s connected to network and is restricted access for non-Summation files (eg. copies of files burnt to CD, etc.)
- moved to Windows 7, control installation of Summation (procedure with IT) - also can see license statuses
- potentially going to train on best uses for Dropbox
