He knew he couldn’t lead it like one big ship. He saw how that goes in the Titanic. The only way to do it is to break it up into small groups.
Why is the Mainline Church of Christ Limited in its growth?
Because they haven’t broken into smaller groups?
What is the virus of leadership?
The virus of leadership should kill you and only allow Jesus to live through you. The result of this will be raising up not only the twelve, but the 72 as well.

When he was in Florida, he saw an abundance of fruit. Doing things Jesus way shows an abundance of fruit!
How does Hebrews 5:11-14 apply to Jesus bible talk?
The importance of being a bible talk is hard when people are not trying to get it. Leadership is the calling of every disciple.

There are a large number of Elvis impersonators. Some are good some are bad, but they eventually all get it. We need to have more Jesus impersonators!
How do we grow the 900 disciples in the City of Angels Church?
We need to have double the bible talks (120-250). As the Bible talks go, so goes the church.
How does Exodus 18:13-25 play into Jesus method?
No one can handle the ministry without breaking it into small groups. If you can master breaking things into small groups, you can lead any sized group.
The Godfather example
There is a part where a character goes to a priest to confess his sins, but doesn’t want to confess. The priest smashes a wet rock, and shows this character that the inside of the rock is dry. His point is that this character has been around God, but hasn’t allowed any of it to absorb. Has Jesus’ method really absorbed into your life?
Return On Investment example
When people don’t see an R.O.I. in their Bible Talk, they stop investing because no one wants to waste their time
Tim’e first bible talk experience
He went and saw younger campus-aged people eating pie in a circle. Although it was strange, God was giving Tim the childhood he never had.
Tim coming to church and seeing Lianne for the first time
He had the opportunity to date Lianne, but her Dad was apart of the package. Lianne’s dad poured into Tim. In the same way, every Bible Talk leader should be invested into training and working with their Bible Talk.

He’s always sharing his faith everywhere he goes. He even shared his faith with a disciple who’d recently been baptized without knowing it.

He had to teach his group “break and enter” to get into preexisting social groups and communities. This method is what Tim calls “warm contact”
How do we develop a game plan for someone who is not effective?

How does 1 Thessalonians 5:14 work?
Can’t encourage someone who is weak. It would be like cheering an elderly woman on as she’s crossing the street instead of helping her across.
