What happens in chapter 1 - “Story of the door”?
Mr utterson and friend enfiled walk and pass through london neighbourhood - enfield points to door and tells story where he saw a man trample a little girl - enflied and girls family confront man - he leads them to his house and returns with money - utterson asks for name of the man and is told it was Hyde
What happens in chapter 2 - “search for My Hyde”?
Utterson reviews will he wrote up for jekyll which satets that if jekylls dies or disapears all his possesions go to hyde utterson visits dr lanyon later utterson confronts hyde and mentions jekyll which hyde replies with angrily saying “he knows jekyll better then him” - utterson goes to visit jekyll
What happens in chapter 3 - “Dr jeky was Quite at Ease”?
Jekyll invites utterson to dinner party - utterson tells jekyll hes been learning more about hyde - jekyll lips go black and his face goes pale - utterson presses jekyll but jekyll tells him its a private matter and that he could get rid of hyde whenever and asks utterson to take care of hyde and that he gets his rights if jekyll disappears
What happens in chapter 4 - “The Carew murder case”?
Year later- maid looking out window and sees Hyde beat an old man to death - utterson acompanies police and identifys body as sir danvers carew - he still has his watch and money - go to hydes house he is not home - finds the murder weapon - hyde is not seen for a while
What happens in Chapter 5 - “Incident of the letter”?
Utterson visits jekyll in his labotory - asks jekyll if he is hiding hyde - jekyll says no and gives mr utterson a letter - which is from hyde and say he is leaving the area - utterson asks mr guest and he inspects it and notices it is jekylls handwriting

2 months later - utterson familiar with seeing jekyll regularly but for no reason he suddenly shuts him out - utterson visits dr lanyon and finds him changed and pale - he says he has had a shock and not to mention jekyll who he regards as dead.Lanyon dies a through weeks later- utterson opens a envelope left to be opened when lanyon dies which contains another letter only to be opened if jekyll dies or disapears
What happens in Chapter 7 - “Incident at the window”?
Utterson and enfield on a sunday walk go into the court and take a look at the windows and sees jekyll and they talk he says they cant come in when suddenly his face had a expression of terror and despair which froze their blood and mr utterson prays to god

Poole visits utterson who tells him something has happend to jekyll they go to investigate - jekyll refuses to see utterson,poole tells utterson that the voice was not jekylls and that the man only comunicates with “demanding and desperate” notes - decide the man must be Mr hyde they break into the room and find hyde had poisend himself - find enevelope with a copy of jekylls will leaving everything to utterson and a short letter
What happens in chapter 9 - “Dr lanyons narrative”?
Narator changes with dr lanyon now picking up the story - explains how he came in possesion of a letter from jekyll - goes to jekyll and as instructed removes the contents of draw labled E (holds liquid/potion made by jekyll and papers which detail jekylls experiment) worried lanyon arms himself with a pistol - at midnight a man enter his house and introduces himself as mr hyde - lanyon shows him the contents of the draw and he mixes the salts he asks lanyon if he should leave with the glass or if he lanyon wants to see what happens next - hyde transforms in henrey jekyll - dr lanyon states his “my life i haken to its roots”
What happens in Chapter 10 - “Henry jekylls full statement of the case”?
Dr jekyll narates now by way of his letter - he admits he has been acting one way in public and one way in private and he formulate a drug which creates a second body and personality he engages at first in a few un-dignified pleasure and later monstrous ones - falls asleep as jekyll and wakes as hyde and start turning into Hyde in public without uing the drug (hydes power is growing while jekylls power is decreasing) jekyll concludes it is a result of some impurity in the origional batch - jekyll drinks the rest of the potion unsure what will happen
