What fuel is prohibited for use?
JP-4 and Jet B
When do auto brakes RTO operate?
- The airplane is on the ground
- Ground speed is above 85kts, and
- Both Thrust levers are retarded to idle
What is TPR?
Turbofan Power Ratio.
Similar to EPR, TPR is a ratio measurement of high pressure compressor exit pressure to low pressure compressor inlet pressure, taking temperature into consideration. TPR Is much more accurate than N1
(P30 x √TGT)/(P20 x √T20) P30 - HP Compressor exit pressure TGT - LP Turbine Inlet Temp P20 - LP Compressor Inlet pressure T20 - LP Compressor Inlet Temp
AOR 7.2.1
When should the PIC consider an emergency landing?
- When checklist says “plan to land at the nearest suitable airport”
- When smoke/fumes or fire has started in the cabin and it’s elimination is unable to be confirmed.
- When there are only 2 AC power sources remaining
- Altimeter malfunction occurs and correct altitude cannot be confirmed by related procedures.
- Any other situation where significant adverse effects on safety may be possible if the flight continues
