Find number of factors of 10 that are integers

Answer 1

10 = 2^1 x 5^1
+v factors = (1+1) x (1+1)
= 4
Total factors = +ve + -ve factors
= 2 x +ve factors
= 2 x 4
=8

Factors: 1,2,5,10,-1,-2,5,-10

Question 2

X is the product of all integers fro 1 to 10, inclusive. If 2^N is a factor of X, what is the greatest possible value of N?

Answer 2

2 |_ 10
2 |_ 5
2 |_ 2
|_ 1

Can ignore remainer if needed

Add 5 +2 +1 = 8

Note this only works with prime factors so I cannot divide with 4 and check. But can check for 3,5,7 etc.
