What is a walking bass line
A walking bass line is typically heard in many different types of Jazz music.
A walking bass line walks up and down the double bass or electric bass.
(A low pitched pattern, following a blues scale, played on a double bass or electric bass)
What is a boogie-woogie
Boogie-woogie is a style of blues piano playing that became popular in the 1940’s, it is characterised by a regular bass riff while the right hand uses trills and melodic decoration.
What instruments are used in big band jazz?
Big band brass, saxophone, trumpets, clarinets, drums, bass, sometimes vocals will be added.
