JATGP Grasshopper Flashcards
JAMES: keep away from me!
Who are you talking to, Spider?
SPIDER: I’m not quite sure, Grasshopper
Glowworm, a little light, if you please?
LADYBUG: Look who’s here!
My good boy, we’ve been waiting for you!
EARTHWORM: Ahh! Help! I’m being attacked!
Hold on everyone, calm down! I’m afraid there’s been a bit of a misunderstanding.
CENTIPEDE: Daft name.
I think it’s a fine name. I’m Grasshopper.
JAMES: Who are you?
We’re insects. At least we were insects.
GLOWWORM: Did you say marvelous pigs in satin?
No, dear lady. Marvelous things will happen. That’s glowworm. She’s a little deaf
LADYBUG: The peach! It’s starting to roll down the hill!
Hold on everyone!
GLOWWORM: I can’t hear you, I have to turn my light on.
I’m seeing spots! I’m seeing spots!
JAMES: Woah! You must see for yourselves.
Unbelievable!
JAMES: But we’re not sinking at all.
This peach does seem rather seaworthy.
CENTIPEDE: This peach ain’t never gonna make it all the way to France.
Drifting like this reminds me of my younger days. Traveling the breezes, not a care in the world! Nobody to answer to but my fiddle.
EARTHWORM: Centipede’s right! We’ll never make it to France. And we’ve no food! No water!
But the sky is clear and the sea is calm. There’s nothing to do now but enjoy the adventure. Tally-ho and away we go!
JAMES: (quietly) There is something we could do.
What’s that, James?
EARTHWORM: Eat the peach? We’ll sink! And then we’ll drown!
We’ll ration servings!
LADYBUG: Grasshopper, do you mind playing?
I’d be delighted.
JAMES: Hey Grasshopper, do all grasshoppers play the violin?
Oh, dear me, no! I am a short horn grasshopper.
CENTIPEDE: And here all along I thought you were a cricket.
As I just specified, I am short-horned. Crickets and other long-horned grasshoppers do not make music, they make noise.
JAMES: On their heads? Ha!
They are right here on either side of my tummy
LADYBUG: James! James, my dear, it’s alright.
Glowworm, could we have a little illumination, if you please? Thanks ever so!
LADYBUG: Those two monsters hated everything. Even Ladybugs. Who doesnt’ like Ladybugs?
I like Ladybugs.
CENTIPEDE: Spiker and Sponge were no different than any of your humans!
Centipede, James is one of us!
LADYBUG: James, you haven’t said anything about your parents. Where are they?
They must be very worried about you.
SPIDER: They certainly didn’t act like a family.
Families are kind.
LADBUG: James, I’ve lost my family as well.
As have I. And I miss them terribly.
JAMES: I miss my mom and dad every second of every day.
Of course you do.
JAMES: We are flying! On the most wonderful aeroplane in the entire world! Isn’t it remarkulously fantasmarific?
It is indeed, remark-u-lous-ly fan-tas-ma-rific!
SPIDER: Come on!
Out with it!
GLOWWORM: Oh, dear! Oh, dear! Oh, dear!
Keep feeding him the web!
EARTHWORM: We’re never going to see him again
My dear, sweet James. <rope> Wait a minute! On three! And-a-one! And-a-two! And-a-three! Pull with all your might!</rope>
CENTIPEDE: And then that human saved me?
That was very brave of you, James.
SPONGE: It was very naughty of you to steal our peach
You can have the peach!
JAMES: Is it wrong that I don’t feel sad?
Of course not.
SPIDER: That sounds like a family to me.
And what a peculiar family we are
