For a faster response, what change in our characteristics do we want?
We want a higher phase margin frequency -> to achieve this we want a higher natural frequency and a lower rise and peak time.
For a less oscillatory response what do we want?
Higher phase Margin so higher damping and smaller overshoot.
What can we assume the bandwidth frequency is?
Phase Margin frequency.
For a type 0 system what is the steady state error?
1/ 1 + Kp
For a type 1 system what is the steady state error?
1 / kv
For a type 2 system what is the steady state error?
1 / Ka
What happens when we add proportional gain to the system?
It will increase the static error constants
How can we decide what proportional gain to add to a system?
By finding the old steady state error, and then dividing our desired steady state error by it.
