The way of the warrior a samurai was expected to show reckless courage, reverence for the gods, fairness, and generosity toward those weaker than himself.
Daimyo
became territorial lords who protected those loyal to them with a private army of samurai.
Kabuki
Amas, in which actors in elaborate costumes using music, dance, and mime, performed skits about urban life.
