Hampton Court Conference
James was willing to listen to Puritan demands for Church reform but there was little settled except for the creation of the King James Bible
Bancroft’s Canons
Following the Hampton Court Conference, James introduced Church Law. Traditional and High Church, the main focus was conformity. It involved persecuting those who did not obey (Puritans) but in 1606 James allowed for some moderate reforms along Puritan lines

He refused to cooperate with their ideas
He appointed authoritarian Richard Bancroft as the Archbishop of Canterbury
