Causes of hypovolemia
A
- gi losses
- renal losses (diuretic, water loss in diabetes)
- skin loss- sweat, burn
- pancreatitis, rhabdo

Clinical features of hypovolemia
A
- increased thirst, decreased sweating
- decreased skin turgor
- oliguria
- cns depression
- weakness, muscle cramps
- decreased BP; postural htn/dizziness

A
fluid accumulation in the interstitial of tissues= EDEMA

A
