- atheists/humanists = science, bigbang, evolution and charles darwin.

- that christians were gifted the earth by god and must take care of it. they must not exploit the world as it was made in god’s image.
- muslims believe that humans are responsible for the earth, named khalifah. they think on judgement day they will be asked how they cared for the planet.
- humanists believe we have to look after it for climate change.

A
- christians believe that life is sacred and a gift, with jesus healing the sick and respecting societal outcasts. every human is made in the image of god.
- muslims believe allah created every soul and only he can take them away, nobody can commit suicide and they will face punishment on judgement day. the qu’ran teaches all life is sacred.
- humanists believe that life is special as we only have one, with no afterlife and we should be happy and respectful.

- christians have no one belief. catholics are typically totally against it, with the english church condoning it for extreme reasons. other christians would allow it and believe it is in jesus’ teachings of agape.
- muslims think it is a sin as allah created life, that abortion is against god’s plan. some believe there are certain circumstances allowing it, with the mother on the day if judgement asked by the child why it was killed.
- humanists believe in looking at the situation but are usually pro-choice.

- christians believe life is sacred and it goes against the ten commandments. hospices allow dignified deaths.
- muslims believe only allah should take life euthanasia goes against god’s plan.
- humanists think life is important but if in pain it should not be prolonged. they support legislation and campaign but others choose a relativist point of view.

describe christian and muslim beliefs of what happens after death.
A
- christians believe the soul will go to heaven and the body will rise again. they will be judged and go to heaven or hell. some christians believe only the soul goes to heaven, whilst catholics think there will be a bodily resurrection.
- muslims believe in akhirah after death, believing life is a test and their soul will wait for judgement day. they believe that the dead will be raised from the dead and stand before god. the archangel israfi will announce the resurrection of the dead. they will be asked questions that determine if they pass the bridge into paradise or hell.

describe funeral rites.
A
- christian funerals are held in churches and speeches are made until they are buried.
- muslims believe reading prayers will help shahadah (muslims returning to the creator.) the body is washed and made up, wrapped and prayers are given at the mosque. only men attend the funeral and the body must face mecca. there should be no expensive memorials.
humanists - non-religious ceremonies in churches with speeches and very informal reflection.

A
- christians believe the soul is an inner-part of us and it is god coning through us. some are dualists and non-dualists - the body and the soul either able to be separated or not. on judgement day they will rise.
- muslims believe that humans have physical and non-physical aspects. allah breathed life into us and in the hadith there is ensoulment.
- humanists brush off the concept of a soul and reject it, thinking we are physical beings who decompose when we die.
