Censorship
the practice of suppressing and limiting access to materials considered obscene, offensive or a threat to security. Also restrictions of speech
extremism
believing and supporting ideas that are very far from what most people consider or reasonable
personal conviction
something a person strongly feels or believes in.
relative and absolute poverty
realtive= poor in terms of society’s standards e.g. living in less than x% of average income.
absolute= acute state of deprivation, can not access basic human needs
discrimination
acts of treating groups or people, or individuals differently, based on prejudice
human rights
the basic entitlements of all human beings, because they are human. as state in the declaration of human rights
prejudice
prejudging; judging people to be inferior or surperior without cause.
social rights
promoting a fair society by challenging injustice and valuing diversity. Ensuring everyone has equal access to provisions, equal opportunities and rights
