Salt tax implemented. Used everyday

Linen poor quality, industry hit badly.

Positive:
Agricultural techniques improved.
Increased in agricultural efficiency an production
Grain, meal exports doubled 1707-12, 1717-22.
Enclosures built, improving stock (cattle, sheep). Not popular with public though.
Scottish merchants could trade with colonies.
Royal Navy protected Merchant ships from pirates.
Funding for Bank of Scotland raised by Equivalent.
