Ism establishment (when? where? founders?)
Ism was established in 1999 Kaunas. 1st privately owned management education institution. Founders: BI Norwegian Business School and the Norwegian Industrial and Regional Development Fund

Types of studies ISM provides
Bachelors, masters, executive studies, doctoral studies and trainings
Rights of ISM students:
•Use equipment and facilities required for learning in complience with the university regulations
•To be introduced to the course
•To participate in the evaluation of the quality of studies and present proposals
•To complete assignments by alternative means if need be
•Study according to individual plan
•File an application for the recognition of study results from other higher education institutions
•Take leave without being deprived of the degree, according to the procedure established at ISM
•excersize academic freedom of thought and word
•To be elected or appointed to ISM management bodies, where students representation is forseen
•To participate in the self-management of the institution, which is executed by SA
•To participate in the competitions for studies or internship place in international student exchange programs
ISM student obligations:
•Observe previsions of LT law on higher education and rules approved by ISM, follow norms of conduct and protect the property of ISM
•Execute the rectors orders and other decisions of the ISM administration
•Observe the principles of general and academic ethics
•Study your courses study programme
•Independently have an ongoing interest in any information about the course of studies, rules, procedures for organising studies and the decisions of the administration.
•Inform about any changes in personal or contact data within the term set in the Study agreement
•Participate in meetings with ISM adminidtration, when ivited
•Upon grafuation or termination of studies, perform all obligations to the university
When are students obligated to attebd lectures?
1st year bachelor students must attend all lectures. Attendence depends on the requirements stated in the subject description. A student has a right to repeat the course from witch he was removed.
What are ECTS credits?
One course is worth at least 3 ECTS credits. One credit is equal to 27hours of a students workload. Bachelor study programmes- 210 or 240 credits. Every semester has 30 credits. The price of one credit was 120€ 2023-2024 and 130€ in 2024/2025.
What if the lecturer seems incompetent?
The student should address it to their program director. And give lower grades in surveys.

When do I need to apply for individual study plan?
• For academic depts it must be submitted before July 15th
•For other reasons no later than two weeks before the beginning of the new semester
What happens to tuition fees when studies are terminated?
• If studies ar terminated at the start (before september 15th, or before february 15th) the student must pay 20%
•If studies are terminated in the middle ( before october 15th or before march 15th) the student must pay 50%
•If studies are terminated at the later, the student must pay 100%

How to maintain a scholarship?
