Discrimination would have been a common issue for a disciple in the time of Jesus, it could also happen to a modern day disciple but it is less of an issue because it is not correct/allowed in today’s society.

Another reason for someone to disagree with me would be that it would have been hard for the disciples to except the fact that they didn’t have enough faith to perform miracles.
