Stem Changing Verbs in Present Tense
Out of the 5 conjugations in Latin/Mexican Spanish (not including the Vosotros form of Spain) all but the “we” form, or the “nosotros” form, change their stem. So the yo, tú, él/ella and ellos/ellas forms of stem-changing verbs all have stem changes.
