Thousands of families left bevause of rising rents,Poor harvests and other things however it was the Potato Famine that sparked the mass migration of the Irish

It was caused by a potato disease and most Irish people entire diet was based on meaning many of them had to Migrate
Where did the Majority of Irish people go
Many of them went to the northwest of England to work in Factories there especially Liverpool as it was easily reached by a boat from Dublin.
Where were the irish living
They were living in overcrowded court dwellings and they were already sick weak and hungry meaning Death Rates were high.Most of the Working class english were also living in these conditions
