IPE Flashcards
Cyber Operation Center (CyOC)
receives compliance status and tracks the status at the executive level. They can capture cyber-intelligence and analytics to provide leadership with a full operational picture to understand existing risks, fueling cyber resiliency rather than mere security.
Client Systems Technicians (CST)
are known as technical support. They solve any communication troubles that involve the phone, computer, or network. Their job is to install new hardware, software patches onto computers, and troubleshoot and then fix problems.
Asset Management (ADPE)
is responsible for the training of all equipment custodians, ensuring they meet al AF guidelines when they are performing their duties. They also make staff assisted visits to ensure equipment custodians are compliant in their duties.
Equipment Custodians
controls, maintains, and monitors inventorial equipment.
Infrastructure (SCOI)
monitors, maintains, and configures IP routers, switches, and provides software-hardware support to wireless and remote access devices.
Infrastructure Security
is the practice of protecting critical systems and assets against physical cyber threats.
Network Operations (SCOO)
performs software maintenance and hardware replacement on servers. Performs daily security assessments to minimize network intrusions, viruses, attacks, spam outbreaks, and threats.
RF Transmissions (SCOT)
installs and maintains radio frequency communications. They must deploy, sustain, troubleshoot, and repair communication devices such as antenna systems and transmission lines.
Plans & Programs (SCXP)
responsible for activities related to base level communication systems planning ad integration, deployment planning for systems and personnel, requirement processing, network engineering. Provide oversight and maintenance for installation of communications infrastructure and systems, budgeting and financial management, and information management.
Communications Help Desk (SCOS)
manages support for computer maintenance of desktops, laptops, and printers. Troubleshoots/resolves frontline problems for applications, internet/intranet, remote access, wireless, and file/print services.
Knowledge Operations (SCOK)
consults on webpage design and provides programming assistance. Offers webpage training (HTML & MySQL). Administers USAF Portal.
Wing Cybersecurity Office (WCO) (SCXS)
assists installation network users by establishing base cybersecurity policy, tracking cybersecurity compliance, and facilitating corrective action or waivers. When cybersecurity policy interrupts the mission of base units.
COMSEC (SCXS)
is the prevention of unauthorized access to communication’s traffic. Maintains confidentiality and integrity through the three main disciplines: cryptographic security, physical security, and transmissions security.
Cryptographic Security
secure communication technique that allows only the sender and intended recipient of a message to view its constraints.
Transmission Security
used to ensure the availability of transmissions and limit intelligence collection from the transmissions.
