What is s13 IPCA Act 1988?
A
Commissioner must notify IPCA as soon as practicable in writing of any incident where a Police employee has, or appears to have, caused death or serious bodily harm to any person. (Basically any time someone goes to hospital aside from dog bites)

What is s15 IPCA Act 1988?
A
Commissioner must notify IPCA as soon as practicable, but within 5 working days, of every complaint received by Police.
In addition the Commissioner may notify IPCA of any matter involving criminal offending or sserious misconduct by a Police employee if its likely to put the Police reputation at risk.
