Q

Take-off Minima

A

2km vis and 300ft ceiling
If engine failure occurs after V1 = terrain clearance must be assured until reaching LSALT or MSA
If returning to land would be necessary after an engine failure = conditions must be at or above an approach landing minima or would permit a visual approach

29
Q

Visual Circling (Descent Below MDA)

A

Maintain aircraft in circling area (4.2 nm CAT C)
Visibility as per approach chart (along intended flight path)
Maintain visual contact with the landing environment (threshold)
Maintain not less than 400ft until aligned with the runway on final
At night: Descent below MDA allowed once MDA intercepts normal circuit descent profile on downwind, base or final

30
Q

Comms Failure

A

Squawk 7600
Listen to ATIS and/or navaids
Transmit intentions and make normal position reports (“transmitting blind”)

31
Q

Comms Failure in VMC

A

Remain visual no proceed to the nearest suitable aerodrome

32
Q

Comms Failure in IMC

A

Proceed with the latest ATC route clearance acknowledged and climb to a planned level

33
Q

Comms Failure in IMC with an altitude or route limit clearance

A

Maintain last t assigned level or MSA for 3 minutes, hold at the nominated location for 3 minutes the; proceed with the latest ATC route clearance

34
Q

A

Climb to MSA/LSALT
If being vectored, maintain last assigned vector for 2 minutes
Proceed in accordance with last ATC route clearance acknowledged

35
