Modular Initial Officer Training

24 weeks split in to 4 six week modules

Runs upto 8 times a year, with 90 students on each intake
Weeks 1-6
Miltary Induction Module. Basic and generic skills to transition from Civilian to Military life. Foot drill, military discipline, weapon training, skill at arms, basic field-craft, first aid and use of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) equipment, physical training and education, and perhaps most significantly military ethos and our core values (RISE)
Weeks 7-12
Development Module 1. Relational, Individual and Collaborative learning, this is summed up as “Knowing and leading yourself in order to lead others”. Focus on physical and mental resilience, Leadership skills and an introduction to Air and Space Power.
Weeks 13-18
Development Module 2. Explore Leadership – Practice and Develop’, focussing on Command and Control (C2) and in-depth elements of RAF leadership. Carousel of AirC2 in the Air and Space environment, Line Management Responsibilities and finally, Care and Welfare in Leadership.
Weeks 19-24
Consolidation Module. 4 weeks of AirC2 exercise, deployment to Robson resilience centre, week long management exercise and a week of academic testing on air power and general service knowledge. If successful 2 weeks of Transition and Graduation, culminating in the Graduation Parade
