Q

What would you involve in a paragraph about ionic bonding?

A
  • State electronic configuration of atoms
  • How the full outer shell is achieved, i.e. number of electrons transferred.
  • State the number of atom of each element required (e.g. 1 magnesium, 2 chloride)
  • State the elec config of the ions
  • State charges of ions
  • State that the ions are attracted by forces of electrostatic attraction
