How do we do a proximal humerus IO on an adult ?
A
-place patient hand on there abdomen.
- palpate the greater tubercle
- insert needle at a 45 degree angle aiming for the opposite hip

How do we perform IO for the proximal tibia on an adult.
A
- ensure leg is straight
- palpate the pattella then go two fingers down and two fingers medial.
- insert the needle at a 90 degree angle.

How do I perform a distal tibia IO on an adult?
A
Palate medical maleolous
Palpate 2-3 CM up and then insert the needle ensuring your on the flat aspect of the bone.
