Suspect
Someone who the police would have to caution under paragraph 10, code of practice C Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 if they wanted to interview them
Purpose

Suspect interview
Questioning of a person regarding their involvement or suspected involvement in a criminal offence or offences which under paragraph 10.1 must be carried out under oath whenever a person is interviewed they must be informed of the nature of the offence or further offence
Confession
Any statement wholly or partly adverse to the person who made it,whether made to a person in authority or not and whether made in words or otherwise
