What investigations do we do to investigate systemic diseases
complete blood count
what do we look at with red blood cells
Abnormal levels of red blood cells, haemoglobin, or hematocrit may be a sign of anaemia or heart disease
what does low white blood cells suggest
Low white cell count may be a sign of an autoimmune disorder, bone marrow disorder, or cancer
what does high white blood cells suggest
High white cell count may be a sign of an infection or a reaction to medicine
what does high cholesterol suggest
High cholesterol is indicative of a liver problem and can increase risk of a heart attack and stroke
what is pH imbalance indicative of
pH imbalance is indicative of pneumonia or COPD
what is blood glucose indicative of
High or low blood glucose can be indicative of diabetes
