What is the difference between a source and evidence?
A source is a written or non written item that provides information about the past and evidence is information found in a source that approves or disproves something.
What are linguists?
Linguists are people who study the nature and structure of language, how it has changed over time and the language styles used in certain types of documents and in particular time periods.
What are Anthropologists?
Anthropologists are people who study human development, including human origin, behaviour, and physical, social and cultural development.
What are Cryptographers?
Cryptographers are people who study, create and decipher codes and writing systems.
What are Scientific Experts?
Use the sciences (especially chemistry and biology) and scientific methods (e.g. DNA analysis) to provide evidence about such things as artefacts or human remains and check their authenticity.
What are palaeontologists?
Palaeontologists investigate plant and animal fossils to study the biology of past life forms.

Four types.

What is stratigraphy?
Stratigraphy is the distinct layers of material beneath the earth, built up over time, that provide information for archaeologists and geologists and is useful for investigating the past because each layer of objects represent a different time period.
