What is a ammeter?
A
Measures current in a current flowing the component , always places in series never in parallel

What is a voltmeter?
A
Measures potential difference across the component , placed in parallel.

How do you investigate a component?
A
Connect circuit,
Change voltage of power supply
Take readings from meters as voltage changes
Plot a graph using I-V
Make sure that it doesn’t over heat

A
It is a component that only allows current to flow one way and has two edges called a cathode and anode
