Invest n is for
N = Negotiable: This is a decision the product owner makes after negotiation with the team. Complex to acceptable.
Invest I is for
I = Independent: The user story can be developed by a single developer without any dependency on any other user story.
Invest v is for
V = Valuable: A user story must deliver value to the end user. There may be a loss of value if not completed.
Invest E is for
E = Estimable: The team must always be able to estimate the size of a user story.
Invest s is for
S = Scalable: User stories size should not become impossible to plan/task/prioritize with a certain level of certainty.
Invest t is for
T = Testable: The product owner must have acceptance criteria as part of the Definition of Done. If the story is not testable, that means it cannot be defined as done.
