They haven’t got backbone. Some of them have got hard parts as shells, or exoesqueleton or soft body.

They have exoesqueleton, they have got jointed legs and they have body sections.
Characteristics of molluscs
They can live underwater or on earth. They have got soft body. Some of them have got shells.
Characteristics of sponge
They live attached to rocks, They have got pores. They filter sea water through their pores to obtain food.
