Warm:
Red-danger or anger
Yellow-warmth,happiness
Dark:
Black-evil,doom

Blue:calm,sad

Diagonal-dynamic,energy
Vertical-strength,spirituality
Curved-smooth
Texture
Feel of an object’s surface
Feel it with eyes=picture’s reality
Focus
Camera angles adjusted
Soft,sharp
Type shot
Long shot: Over all picture, show landscape, building around
Extreme long shot: shows much of locale
Full shot: Concentrates on subject, background 2nd
Medium shot: From waist up-body language Hal in frame
Close up: Small part subject, importance to object
Extreme close up: focuses enlarged detail, draw attention to specific features, part face fills screen
Camera angles
Worms eye view: taken from ground up, height
Low angle: Enlarges and shows superiority, camera below subject, height and power
Normal/straight angle: Neutral attitude
High angle: subject vulnerable, looks down and take away power of subject
Bird’s eye view: from top to bottom, gives total picture, Godlike view, disorienting
Oblique angle: tilt camera, figure appears to be falling out of frame, tension and transition, drunk viewpoint
Camera moves
Panning: moves around horizontally/ up down vertical
Use of dolly: camera/recorder on track wheels
Hand held shots: camera/recorder being held, more real
Over the shoulder shot
2 figures, 1 back to camera and another facing camera
