describe the cancer pathway
- Starts with the development of cancer – patient usually doesn’t know about this
- Presentation – Presents to there GP – look at red flags and suggest that the patient can have cancer, this results in a referral to a specialist
- Process of investigation, diagnosis and treatment which involves in the MDT
- Response assessment – this includes remission or residual disease leading to further treatment or palliation
- Living beyond cancer
- Or relapse
