What are robots?
Robots are machines controlled by a computer program that follow a set of instructions. They may be directly controlled by humans and do the things they are designed for.
What components does a robot have?
A robot has a processing unit, sensors to perceive its environment, and motors and actuators to move its limbs or wheels.
How can a robot respond to its environment?
A robot may speak, make other sounds, or flash with lights and colors in response to the environment as per instructions.
Who invented the first digital and programmable robot, when, and what was it named?
The first digital and programmable robot was invented by George Devol in 1954, and was named the Unimate.
