The ability to identify, understand, interpret, create, communicate and compute using printed and written materials associated with varying context.
Literacy
The physical objects used to communicate with, or the mass communication through physical objects such as radio, television, computers, film, etc. It also refers to any physical object used to communicate messages.
Media
The ability to access, analyze, evaluate, and create media in a variety of forms. It aims to empower citizens by providing them with the competencies or the knowledge and skills necessary to engage with in for traditional media and new technologies.
Media Literacy
A board term that covers processed data, knowledge derived from study, experience, instruction, signals or symbols.
Information
The ability to recognize when information is needed, and to locate, evaluate, and effectively communicate information in its various formats.
Information Literacy
The ability of an individual, either working independently or with others, to responsibly, appropriately and effectively use technological tools.
Technological Literacy
Is a concept which help teachers, technology leaders and parents to understand what students/children/technology users should know to use technology appropriately.
Digital Citizenship
The equitable distribution of technology and online resources. Teachers and administrators need to be aware of their community and who may or may not have access, not only in school but at home as well.
Digital Access
The electronic buying and selling of goods and focuses on the tools and safeguards in place to assist those buying, selling, banking, or using money in any way in the digital space.
Digital Commerce
The electric exchange of information. All users need to define how they will share their thoughs so that others understand the message.
Digital Communication & Collaboration
This refers to electronic standards of conduct or procedures and has to do with the process of thinking about others when using digital devices.
Digital Etiquette
The process of understanding technology and its use. The better educated or “digitally fluent,” students are, the more likely they are to make good decisions online,like supporting others instead of making negative comments.
Digital Fluency
This refers to the physical and psychological well-being in a digital world.
Digital Health & Welfare
Refers to the electronic responsability for actions and deeds and has to do with the creation of rules and policy that address issues related to the online world.
Digital Law
Are requirements and freedoms extended to everyone in a digital world.
