Level 1: (Local BCU level) Local crime (can include most serious crime) and anti-social behaviour
Level 2: (Force & Regulation) Force, interforce and regional activity, usually requiring additional resources
Level 3: (National & International) Most serious and organised crime
What is the key feature of the National Intelligence Model (NIM)?
The Tasking & Coordinating Process which is overseen by Tasking & Coordination Groups
What are the two types of Tasking & Coordination Group (T&CG) meetings?
What does each do?
Strategic T&CG Meetings:
- Deals with serious Level 2 crime
- Initiates a Control Strategy
Long-term strategy document
Tactical T&CG Meetings
- At BCU level
- Apply the planned response to the Control Strategy
- Can call other agencies to assist in tactical decisions
Review the current progress of current operations and approaches
