All Human Rights are accorded to every person regardless of background and equal

Human Rights apply to all persons and cannot be taken away

All Human Rights are connected; a violation of a Human Right affects the realization of other Human Rights negatively
Human Rights: Rights and Obligations
- Human Rights are rights of every person
- State has the obligation to respect, protect and fulfill Human Rights
Classification of Human Rights
Security Rights: Person’s right to be protected from murder, torture and genocide
Due Process Rights: Protection against arbitrary and excessively harsh punishment; Right of fair and public trial to accused of criminal offenses
Liberty Rights: Person’s right of expression, belief, association and movement
Political Rights: Freedom of political participation by assembling, voting, protesting and serving in public office.
Equality Rights: Equal citizenship, equality before the law and freedom from discrimination.
Social Rights: Right of access to social services and basic necessities.
Minority or Group Rights: Rights of women, children, indigenous people, racial or ethnic minority, migrant workers, and the disabled.
