What does Roatral mean?
Located on the head towards the nose
What is caudal?
Located towards the tail
What is Maxillary?
Located on the upper jaw

The cheek side of the mouth/teeth
What is Coronal?
Near the crown of the tooth
What is Apical?
In the direction of the root tip
What is Occlusal?
The surface of the tooth that faces the crown of the opposite tooth on the same side
What is Hypsodont?
Tooth with a long crown and a short root. Found in horses and rabbits

Horses and Rabbits
What are Brachydont teeth?
Tooth with a short crown and long root. Founf in dogs and cats. The tooth once matured loses the ability to grow
What are Diphyodont teeth?
Any animal with two successive sets of teeth, decidious (temporary) and permanent

Mesocephalic (medium)
