Introduction To AI Flashcards
All the sub topics of this chapter
What is Artificial Intelligence
AI refers to software technologies that make a robot or computer act and think like humans
What makes a human naturally Intelligent?
- Humans are naturally born with it
- they possess cognitive abilities such as understand and apply logic, reason, learn from concepts, solve problems etc
Why do we need AI?
We need AI for-
-AUTOMATION
Ai can automate repetitive tasks freeing human labor for creative and strategic tasks
-ACCURACY
it is more accurate then humans
-FASTER
it is more faster than humans. for example…
List few daily life examples of AI
refer to notes
What are the Advantages of AI
-Prone to make less errors than humans
-It wont be affected by hostile environments that could kill or injure us
-They can predict what a User will type, do, ask and search
-They can work for hours and hours without getting tired
-Can replace humans in repetitive tasks being more productive
List Disadvantages if AI.
- Humans can become more dependent on AI and lose their mental capabilities
- If put in wrong hands they can cause mass destruction
- They cant work outside what they’re programmed for
- No emotions are present in AI
- Can lead to severe unemployment
What is Narrow AI
-Also known as weak AI
-Designed to perform tasks that are more specific
-Features
^It is limited to a particular field
^It has a pre-defined set of functions
^It performs a dedicated Assigned task
-EXAMPLE- Alexa
What is General AI
-It is also known as Strong AI
-Artificial general Intelligence is capable of understanding a vast scope of activities
-Features-
^it can perform variety of tasks at changing contexts
^Think and respond smart like humans
^Capable of applying retained information to solve new problems
-Examples-Deep Blue
Explain CV
-It stand for computer vision
-computer vision helps the computer to see and infer/interpret information from the given data.
-this field of AI enables computer to derive information from images, videos and other inputs
Explain NLP
-it Stands for Natural Language processor
-NLP is the ability of the computer to understand human language as its spoken and written.
-it gives the computer the ability to interpret and comprehend human language
What is data
data are raw facts, they don’t convey a meaning and can be interpreted in different ways
Types of AI on The Basis of functionality
Reactive Machine
- basic type of ai
- no memory of its own so it cant work on previos data
LIMITED MEMORY
- has memory but is limited
-they are able to conclude decisions based on past data that is used for better informed decision.
THEORY OF MIND
-are able to use their common sense in interpreting data and coming up with decisions in real times
-They exhibit understanding of emotions and gestures
SELF-AWARENESS
-Truly intelligent machines
-they interpret human emotions and can make decisions that are not just logical but also influenced by feelings.
explain who in the 4ws canvas
The “Who” block helps us to analyse the people getting affected directly or indirectly due to the problem. Under this, we find out who the ‘Stakeholders’ of this problem are and what you know about them. Stakeholders are the people who face this problem and would benefit from the solution.
explain what in the 4ws canvas
Under the “What” block, we need to determine the nature of the problem. What is the problem and how do you know that it is a problem?
Under this block, we also gather evidence to prove that the problem we had selected exists. Newspaper articles, Media, announcements, etc. are some examples.
explain where in the 4ws canvas
This block will help us to look into the situation in which the problem arises, the context of it, and the locations where it is prominent.
explain why in the 4ws canvas
In the “Why” canvas, we think about the benefits that the stakeholders and the society will get from the solution.
