It opens the formatting tool bar.

Status, layout and formatting.

Hit “Edit Layout” button.
Can you customize your status bar in either Browse or Layout Mode?

When your create a new database in Filemaker, what is it called?
An app or custom app
How can you get started making a new custom app in Filemaker?
Go to Toolbar > choose file > Get Started and choose a starter solution (template)>
What are special device specific layouts in starter solutions?
You can choose layouts for iMac, iPad or iPhone.
