What is the World Wide Web?

What is a client?

Connects the clients, servers and peripherals and may consist of copper cables, fiber optic cables or wireless technologies

What happens when you type in a new URL?
The DNS is accessed.
The corresponding IP address is obtained and returned to the web browser.
The browser sends an HTTP request to the destination computer at the corresponding IP address.
Server receives the request, locates the files and replies.
The web browser renders and displays the web page and files.

Frequently communicating with a brief message (140 characters or less) such as tweeting

Really simple syndication…used to creat newsfeed a from blogs and other websites, they contain a summary of news items posted to the site. A newsreader is needed to access the information.
