Tenet One:
Centralized Control and Decentralized Execution
The Air Force has evolved the Theater Air Control System (TACS) over many generations in order to hone this Tenet.
The TACS is comprised of the AOC, the CRC, AWACS, JSTARS, the ASOC, and TACPs.
**Tenet Two: **
Flexibility and Versatility
TACS excels at on-the-spot changes
Tenet Three
Synergistic Effects
Air Support Operations Center (ASOC). Coordinated attacks from the air and the surface can more easily overwhelm an adversary’s defense.
Tenet Four:
Persistence
Tenet Five
Concentration
TACS provides the communication channels required for team members to coordinate their actions
Tenet Six:
Priority
Airpower is a finite resource—The TACS can keep focused on the JFACC’s priorities
Tenet Seven:
Balance
The global nature of aerospace assets, as well as the responsibility for command and control, must reside in a commander who has a global perspective and the means to execute this responsibility.
