Q

define pollution, pollutant and persistence

Q

Importance of environmental sustainability

A

It is important because we depend on natural resources for survival.

If we deplete the natural resources and pollution increase this will endanger the life of future generation

Q

Current Unsustainable Human

Behaviours Include:

A
  1. the use of renewable energy faster than nature can regenerate. ( if we overexploit our resources we’ll run out and it’s imperative for human survival
  2. Urbanization ( the increase in development of cities and infrastructure in urban areas which leads to deforestation and a depletion of natural habitat, it may also lead to overpopulation
  3. increase pollution( once an area is overpopulated more machines are made for eg vehicles which leads to more air pollution form the exhaust.

4.Unchecked use of non-renewable resources is unsustainable because: resources become scarce when used beyond availability point
due to resources being limited

Q

What are some environmental issues that are stemmed from human activities? and which human activity causes them

A

Species Endangerment and
Extinction - Land Degradation(human activity)

Global Warming - Water Shortage and Pollution(human activity)
Acid Deposition- Ozone Depletion(stemmed from human activity

Natural Resource Depletion - caused by Improper Solid Waste Disposal
