A

Before 1945 there were many obstacles put in place which prevented black peoples from achieving civil rights, they were treated as second class citizens across the USA. However after 1945 the black civil rights movement started to successfully grow in prominence and it effectively campaigned to challenged the social, economic and political discrimination faced by black Americans.
