The general area where something is or how it compares to other locations
Absolute Location
The exact location (longitude and latitude) or physical address
Place
The characteristics of a place and how it’s like other places on earth
Accessibility
The degree to which a product, devise, service, or environment is available to as many people as possible
Diffusion
The process when one idea or innovation spreads from one person to another
Region
A place with common features that makes it different than surrounding areas
Formal Region
A place with common features that makes it different than surrounding areas
Functional Region
Has some characteristic in common that is measurable
Perceptual Region
Regions that reflect human attitude or feelings
Globe
A 3D scale of the Earth
Map
A diagrammatic representation of the earths surface (flat)
Distortion
A change, twist, or exaggeration that makes something appear different from the way it really is
