Line weight
visual lightness, darkness, or heaviness of a line within a drawing
Cantilevered
a rigid structural element which extends horizontally and is supported at only one end
Corbel
is a structural piece of stone, wood or mental jutting from a wall to carry a superincumbent weight, a type of bracket
Sourcing
when the designer begins the process of finding, compiling and recommending finishes, fixtures and furniture
Great room
a room inside a house that combines the roles of several more traditional rooms into one space
Acoustics
the properties of qualities of a room or building that determine how sound is transmitted in it.
Color rendering
describes how a light source makes the color of an object appear to human eyes and how well subtle variations in color shades are revealed.
