How to tell if animal is neutered
- tatto
- spay scar
- reproductive development
- weight (intact unlikely to be obese)
Dog Restraint
calm environment, pheromones, towels/blankets, food/treats, toys
Cat Restraint
calm quiet environment, separate from dogs, minimal restraint, pheromones, treats/food/catnip, low-stress restrainst tools (towel wraps, muzzles, cat bags)
Lbs to kgs
lbs/2.2 = kgs
kgs x 2.2 = lbs
Ways to obtain pulse
stethoscope bell over heart, fingers over heart, fingers on femoral pulse

BAR, QAR, dull/depressed

active/passive, friendly/cautious, anxious/fearful/aggressive
Respiration
labored, count RR, pant

stumbling, head tilt, circling
Head
eyes: discharge, decreased vision, cloudy eyes
Nose: sneezing, discharge
Ears: smells, head shaking
Skin
hair loss, scratching, masses
