A

Hospice: end of life care, through a team approach. Goal is to enhance comfort and improve quality of life for individuals with a terminal illness. Qualify for hospice if they are anticipated to pass away within six months or less. Palliative: goal is to enhance comfort and improve quality of life for patient and family. Symptom reductions– for people with serious medical conditions. Does not mean they are terminally ill and anticipated to pass away.
