The unions were the main and most uncontrollable problem facing governments
Responsible for a worsening of inflation, decline in import and often acted as a bloackade to economic growth
- economy was still a problem however it was controllable but often measures taken were inadiquite and unsuccessful often down to unions stopping action
- foreign issues although less of an issue at points became crucial problems however this often down to a collision with an instability already existing at that point in Britian
