True. 4 is one term. x is another term. 4/x is now one single, combined term
Addition/subtract seperate terms, so 4+x is two terms
is 4+x one or two terms?
Two terms. Addition/subtraction keep terms seperate. Multi/divi. combines terms to make one single, combined term
What happens when you multiply exponents with the same base but different exponents?
Keep the base, and add the exponents.
What happens when a base has a negative exponent?
It’s flipped. 1 is over the base and the exponent.
A number to the power of 0 is..
1
What happens to an exponent outside of a parantethsis with terms inside that have an exponent?
You multiply the outside exponent to be inside exponents
