The parthenon’s design and religious features reflect its purpose as a sacred space dedicated to Athena, embodying Ayhenian devotion and the city’s values of devotion and superiority.

1.On the east side, above the entrance in the sculptures on the pediment, they could see the story of Athena and Poseidon vying to be the patrons of Athens.
